Put games disc r4 card




















Buy your R4. Connect your Micro SD to a computer and drag the firmware files onto it. Make a folder called Games on the card. Drag any ROMs you have downloaded into the Games folder. Put the card in the R4 Card and then put it in your DS. Remove the card adaptor from the card reader. Extract the MicroSD card from the adaptor and place it back in the slot in the top of the R4 card. You can now place the R4 card into the cartridge slot in your Nintendo DS and play the games you downloaded, if you like.

Unfortunately, Windows 7 has made this difficult to do by not including the option on the standard disk formatting utility. You can now go to our 3DS homebrew section or any other site that you find that has the games, apps and emulators you wish to play and download some games. Most of the games, apps and emulators will come zipped up, or compressed using winRar. You need to download the games, apps or emulators you want to load and play. You can create a folder that is called GAMES in the root of your micro SD card to copy and paste all of your games, apps and emulators in to.

If we take an actual game example, like the very impressive WarHawk homebrew shooter. Within that folder you'll find several files, but only the file with the. NDS extension is needed.

The other files are a readme and a picture of the game cover itself. Once again, in the root directory, or if you prefer, you can create folders to keep things organized.

And that is all there is to it. The only thing left for you to do is to put that micro SD card in to your R4 3DS, and plug it in to your hand held system and start playing some amazing homebrew games and applications on your Nintendo 3DS XL!
