Just over a year later I began noticing my computer crashing after being on for 12 hours or so with a BSOD then restarting saying that "Windows has experienced an unexpected shutdown.

Then one day the motherboard fried completley. I sent the motherboard in for warranty, and got it back. They said they replaced some chip and that it should work. Soon after I realized they still hadn't fixed the problem when it shut down again.

So I sent it in again, and got a completley new board so I'm told. The new one still has the same issue. I have replaced the W power supply with a W because I read that the pins could overheat if there was too much power on new ATX motherboards, and that didn't work. I have downloaded a registry cleaner jv16 and cleaned that up because I read that that might be the case too, however to no avail. First, the power supply will only supply what the motherboard needs as far as current draw, so this statement makes no sense I'm running a quality Corsair watt PS in my computer.

It may not be wise to run without pairs of memory, and memory of different speeds and timings. Are you over-clocking? I took the OCZ out for a while but it made no difference. I don't have room for a fourth stick with the current case I have. If I get the crashes fixed I was planning on getting a full tower instead of a mid so that I had more room.

Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. I have Windows 7 bit. Lately, i have been noticing that i put my computer to sleep and then when i try to awake it has actually been shutdown.

How can i find out what is causing this behavior? It is not BSOD. When i start windows normally i get the message in windows environment "Windows shutdown unexpectedly Windows will try to find solution if can This thread is locked.
